UniNote

Terms of use

Last updated 2 October 2026

By signing in to UniNote you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. They are short on purpose.

What UniNote is

A notebook for lectures. You can type notes, add photos, keep a calendar of homework and exams, share notes and skills with other students, and, with a plan, use AI features: an assistant that summarizes, explains, checks, tidies or transcribes what you highlight; Notes from slides, which turns a lecture deck or problem sheet into study notes; audio transcription; and suggestions in the calendar.

Your notes belong to you. Using UniNote gives it no claim over them beyond storing and showing them back to you, sending them to the AI services you ask for, and showing what you choose to share to other students.

Your account

Sign-in is through Google, Microsoft or GitHub. Keep control of that account — anyone with access to it has access to your notes. One account per person. Usernames are permanent once chosen.

Free and paid

Notes, classes, photos, the calendar, export and reading the community list are free. The AI features, sharing, and opening what others share need a plan:

Payments, invoices, sales tax and refunds are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, under their terms. For a refund or a billing question, contact us at the address below. Prices may change for future purchases and renewals; you are told before a renewal costs more.

Fair use of the AI

Each plan includes the same daily allowance of AI use, which resets at midnight (UTC), plus one Exam prep boost per calendar month with a larger allowance for three days. The allowance exists because each request costs real money. Do not try to work around it — automating requests, running scripts against the service, or using several accounts to get more may get your access removed.

The AI is often wrong

Check everything before you rely on it. Transcriptions misread words, summaries drop things, and explanations can state wrong facts with confidence. Notes from slides computes its numbers with code and marks what it couldn't verify, but it can still misread a slide. Calendar suggestions and revision lists are guesses. Treat every AI result as a draft by a fast, careless classmate — useful, never authoritative.

Academic honesty

UniNote is built to help you study, and that is all it is for. What your university permits is between you and your university: many institutions treat submitting AI-generated text as your own work as misconduct, even when it started from your notes. Knowing and following your institution's rules is your responsibility.

What you upload and share

Only upload material you are allowed to use — your own notes, and lecture material your course gives you for study. When you share a note or a skill with the community, you confirm you have the right to share it and you let other students view and save copies of it. Shared items are checked automatically before they are published, and UniNote may refuse or remove anything that breaks these terms.

What you may not do

Availability

UniNote is provided as-is, with no guarantee that it will always be available, that your notes will be preserved, or that features will not change or disappear. It may be suspended or discontinued. Keep your own backups — each lecture exports as Markdown or PDF.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, UniNote is not liable for lost notes, lost time, missed deadlines, incorrect AI output, or academic consequences arising from its use. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.

Ending it

Stop using UniNote whenever you like, and delete your account from Settings. Deleting the account cancels a Monthly plan so it doesn't renew. Access may be withdrawn for breaking these terms.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and the change is described here. Continuing to use UniNote after a change means accepting it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Latvia.
